ProQuest: Relatórios do World Bank (The International Bank of Reconstruction) disponíveis na ABI/INFORM

Na continuidade no feedback positivo recebido com a introdução, na ABI/Inform, em 2009, dos relatórios da EIU, temos o prazer de anunciar a entrada de relatórios do Wrld Bank, com disponibilidade imediata. O benefício do acesso a estes relatórios é elevado pois contêm dados abrangentes e resultados de investigação que auxiliam no estudo da crise financeira mundial, dados sobre o ambiente e estatísticas do desenvolvimento.

Os relatórios "Doing Business"  estão presentes na in ABI/INFORM Complete, ABI/INFORM Trade and Industry, e ProQuest Entrepreneurship, enquanto que os outros relatórios aparecem apenas na ABI/INFORM Global e ABI/INFORM Complete.

  • Global Economic Prospects 2008:Examines the state of technology in developing countries and the pace with which it has advanced since the early 1990s.
  • Doing Business 2009:This 215-page report provides quantitative measures of regulations for starting a business, dealing with construction permits, employing workers, registering property, getting credit, protecting investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and closing a business – as they apply to domestic small and medium-size enterprises across 183 economies and selected cities at the sub-national and regional levels. It includes highlights from the latest dataset which was developed over the past 6 years with input from more than 10,000 professionals in 181 economies. The report is frequently cited in business research as it tracks how easy or hard it is to start new businesses in various countries around the world and is a fertile source of primary data.
  • The Little Data Book 2009:The Little Data Book contains 54 key development indicators such as population and population growth, GNI, GDP, GDP growth, exports and imports, and gross capital formation, deforestation, water use, energy use and electricity use per capita; and more.
  • The Little Data Book on Africa 2008: The Little Data Book on Africa 2010 is a pocket edition of Africa Development Indicators 2010 (ADI). It contains some 115 key indicators on economics, human development, governance and partnership and is intended as a quick reference for users of the ADI book and ADI Online. The country tables present the latest available data for World Bank member countries in Africa.
  • Global Monitoring Report:Prepared jointly by the staff of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, this report provides a development perspective on the global economic crisis. It assesses the impact on developing countries – their growth, poverty reduction, and other MDGs.   • World Development Indicators 2009:World Development Indicators is the World Bank’s premier annual compilation of data about development.
    Doing Business in Mexico:’Doing Business’ in Mexico 2009 compares the ease of doing business across Mexico’s 31 States, and the Federal District of Mexico City.
  • Doing Business in Arab World:This report examines the business regulatory environment of 20 Arab economies within the Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • African Development Indicators 2009:This resource provides the most detailed collection of data on Africa available. It puts together data from different sources, and is an essential tool for policy makers, researchers, and other people interested in Africa.
  • The Little Green Data Book 2009:The Little Green Data Book is a pocket-sized ready reference on key environmental data for over 200 countries. Key indicators are organised under the headings of agriculture, forestry, biodiversity, energy, emission and pollution, and water and sanitation.
  • Global Development Finance 2009:This is the World Bank’s annual report on the external financing of developing countries – provides monitoring and analysis of development finance, identifying key emerging trends and policy challenges in international financial flows that are likely to affect the growth prospects of developing countries.
